On August 30, 2023, at the forum of China Mobile's "Fourth Science and Technology Week and Strategic Emerging Industry Co-creation and Development Conference", China Mobile was listed to establish the first industrial application-oriented quantum computing laboratory of central enterprises -- "China Mobile Quantum Computing Application and Evaluation Laboratory" (hereinafter referred to as the laboratory), and released the first batch of quantum computing strategic emerging industry achievements such as "Research Report on Quantum Computing Application in Communication Network" and "Wuyue" Quantum Cloud Platform.
Gao Tongqing, deputy general manager of China Mobile, and Long Guilu, vice president of Beijing Institute of Quantum Information Science, unveiled the laboratory. Wang Xiaoyun, deputy chief engineer and chief scientist of China Mobile, and other relevant leaders and representatives of many quantum computing companies such as Huayi and Bose attended the ceremony and witnessed it together.

"China Mobile Quantum Computing Application and Evaluation Laboratory" is the industry's first quantum computing algorithm research and performance evaluation institution specifically established for applications in the field of information and communication. It researches and designs new quantum algorithms and forms a quantum algorithm library, which will provide benchmarks for quantum computer capabilities of different technical routes and the performance of quantum algorithms of different paradigms. Strengthen the depth and breadth of quantum computing applications in the field of information and communication.
The Research Report on Quantum Computing Applications in Communication Networks is the industry's first research report on quantum computing applications in the field of information and communication. The five computing scenarios of physical layer signal processing, network layer network optimization, application layer business processing, machine learning, multi-domain network security, and three computing problems of large-scale operation, large-scale optimization, and large-scale search in communication networks are analyzed.
