In terms of infrastructure, in 2022, China's 5G base station manufacturers' market share, Huawei accounted for the highest 59%; in 2019 and 2020, China's 5G capital expenditure investment in 2019, China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom were 1.3 billion US dollars, 34 billion US dollars and 11 billion US dollars, while the capital expenditure investment of China Mobile and China Unicom in 2020 will be US $15.7 billion and US $11.3 billion. In 2023, the three basic telecom operators plan to spend a total of about 149.5 billion yuan on 5G capital expenditure. As of June 2022, the geographical distribution of China's 5G base stations: the east has the highest proportion, accounting for 48.6%, followed by the west, accounting for 24.28%, and the last is the central area, accounting for 20.83%.

 

 

 

In terms of 5G mobile phones, China's monthly 5G smartphone shipments from May 2021 to July 2022 will be the highest at 29 million in November 2021 and the lowest at 11.4 million in February 2022 department. Looking at the hot-selling 5G smartphone models in China in 2022, the top five mobile phone brands with the highest proportion are all iPhones.

 

 

 

From the perspective of users, the two main reasons for China to use 5G mobile Internet in 2022 are to follow current trends and fast network speed, and part of the reason is the work or company requirement. The main reason why China will not use 5G mobile Internet in 2022 is that users think that 4G service is sufficient for personal use. In 2022, consumers choose China Mobile's 5G traffic package, and 70.3% of users choose a package service of less than 150 yuan per month.
