Quantum pioneer Lov Grover joins blockchain company
On January 9, the board of directors of Quantum Blockchain Technologies (QBT) announced the hiring of Dr. Lov Kumar Grover as a special consultant to conduct a theoretical evaluation of the company's proprietary quantum version of SHA-256, a quantum mining algorithm.
Grover is a pioneer in quantum computing research and development. While he was still at Bell Labs in the United States, he invented the first quantum algorithm for database searching.Grover's algorithm can significantly improve the speed, accuracy and efficiency of using large databases through quantum computing. This algorithm may be fundamentally relevant to the complex task of bitcoin mining.
Grover has signed a 3-month contract with QBT and has received 5 million warrants.

As a leader in the field, his vast knowledge of quantum computing theory and optimization will be essential to further refine the proprietary SHA-256 quantum version developed by QBT. The company further reports that it is now in the patent application stage for the so-called "quantum mining" algorithm, following the results achieved by the quantum computing R&D team over the past 12 months. A final theoretical check of the quantum computing version of the SHA-256 algorithm, the core engine of BTC mining, is being conducted before the company drafts the patent application.
