TIME's Best Inventions of 2022 Quantum Design in the Cloud
Recently, Time magazine (Time) announced the best inventions of 2022, as the "Oscars" of the technology invention industry, the best inventions cover artificial intelligence, applications, hardware, medical and other cutting-edge technology fields.

Among them, "Quantum Design in the Cloud" was selected for ColdQuanta Albert, a quantum matter system developed by ColdQuanta, a cold-atom quantum technology company, named after Albert Einstein and available to the public in October 2020 through the cloud. Quantum matter refers to a collection of tens of thousands of rubidium atoms that are cooled to near absolute zero to form a Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC). With Albert, users can explore fundamental quantum phenomena such as tunneling and superposition by generating, manipulating and experimenting with supercooled matter.

ColdQuanta Albert
Albert is, without exaggeration, probably the world's coolest (pun intended) cloud service, according to Time magazine, and is the only quantum design platform of its kind that allows anyone to access and manipulate atoms cooled to one billionth of a degree above absolute zero from their own computer.
With this technology, researchers can remotely use ColdQuanta's quantum matter machines to design potentially revolutionary innovations. This technology was previously only available to professional scientists, but is now free to all. One possible application: self-driving cars that never lose their GPS signal. a beta version of Albert was launched this year, with an official version to be released soon.
In fact, Albert has won numerous awards since its launch, including the Photonics West Prism Award and being a finalist for the LASER World of PHOTONICS Innovation Award. A leading cold-atom quantum technology company, ColdQuanta recently raised $110 million in a Series B round of funding.
