The conference is organized by IOP Press and the World Young Scientists Summit (WYSS) in collaboration with the Chinese Physical Society (CPS) and the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Prof. Lu Chaoyang of USTC will be the chair of this conference. Because of the impact of the epidemic, the conference is conducted online, presenting academic results and promoting academic exchange through invited presentations. Eight special presentations and three excellent conference presentations were conducted during the two-day conference. More than 500 people registered for the conference, and more than 60,000 people watched the conference live and participated in the interactive communication online.

Tom Grinyer, Chief Executive Officer of the British Physical Society, Dai Li, Vice President of the Zhejiang Science and Technology Association and Director of the Executive Committee of the World Summit of Young Scientists, Xu Haiyan, Deputy Secretary General of the Wenzhou Municipal Government, and Zhao Zhengguo, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor of the University of Science and Technology of China, and Vice President of the Chinese Physical Society, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches, placing great expectations on the development of the conference. Tim Smith, Director of Journal Development of the publisher, also expressed his warm welcome to the participation of experts and scholars in the opening speech session.

In the eight presentation sessions, a total of 25 experts and scholars from the University of California, University of Edinburgh, University of Innsbruck, University of Hong Kong, University of Science and Technology of China, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and other related fields such as CNRS, Institute of Quantum Science and Technology, University of Calgary, Baidu Institute of Quantum Computing, etc. Experts and scholars from scientific research institutions will give academic presentations. The topics of the eight topics are: "Quantum Algorithms", "Quantum Information Theory", "Quantum Computing and Simulation", "Quantum Sensing and Metrology" and "Quantum Communication". In each topic, each expert's presentation session consisted of a keynote report and an interactive Q&A session, where expert professors and the audience discussed hot issues at the forefront of quantum research through mutual communication.

As one of the key events of the 2022 World Summit of Young Scientists, the 2022 International Quantum Conference brings together young talents from multiple fields and disciplines to focus on international cutting-edge quantum topics, echoing the main theme of the Summit, "Gathering Talents for a Better Future", and providing a good platform for the world's talents to meet.

In addition, the special issue of "Recent Progress in Quantum Computation and Quantum Simulation" focusing on the 2022 International Quantum Conference will be published in Quantum Science and Technology (QST). We invite experts and scholars in the field to participate. Please click "Read More" below for details of the special issue.
