Recently, Beijing Institute of Quantum Information Science and Huaxia Bank and Long Yingzhi Da (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. cooperated to pilot the application of quantum direct communication technology to serve the confidential data transmission business scenario of commercial banks, realizing the application of quantum direct communication technology in the financial field for the first time in the international arena.

Quantum Secure Direct Communication (QSDC) is a quantum communication technology that transmits information directly in quantum state. Quantum direct communication can detect and prevent eavesdropping with high security. It is versatile, enabling not only the direct transmission of confidential information, but also other tasks such as key negotiation and key distribution. It develops cryptography and simplifies the dual channel structure of key distribution and ciphertext transmission in traditional confidential communication to a single channel structure with only one quantum channel, which reduces the information leakage link and improves the overall security of the system. It develops the communication theory to develop the reliable classical communication under noise channel based on Shannon's information theory into a higher level of secure and reliable communication under noise and eavesdropping channel. Quantum direct communication and post-quantum cryptography can be organically integrated to realize secure relayed quantum networks.
This project is the first time in the world to apply quantum direct communication technology to commercial banking business scenarios, which realizes the transformation of quantum direct communication technology to practicality and engineering in the business field of banking and financial institutions. In the era of digital economy, the data of enterprises often contains high commercial value, and at the same time may also involve commercial secrets and personal privacy. Information leakage in the process of data transmission may lead to serious consequences such as business failure. In the digital financial ecological scenario of industrial equipment manufacturing and acquisition-related industries, the main participants are commercial banks, core enterprises (equipment manufacturers/sellers) and downstream enterprises (equipment buyers/acquirers). By building a new mode of secure information transmission based on quantum direct communication technology between the bank and its corporate customers, it plays the role of a "dart board" for the transmission of important data, prevents the risks caused by information leakage due to data transmission, protects the security of data assets of the enterprise and the bank, and thus promotes the industrial equipment mortgage loan business model relying on the guarantee of core enterprises. In this way, the business model of industrial equipment mortgage loans, which relies on the guarantee of core enterprises, is transformed into a decentralized business model of industrial equipment mortgage loans that does not rely on core enterprises.
On this basis, commercial banks are using quantum direct communication technology to change from "looking at the equipment" to "looking at the business", i.e., from monitoring the enterprise's "equipment presence or absence" to "equipment failure". "If the production equipment is running normally every day without stopping, supplemented by relevant business orders, invoices, financial and tax data, the bank will be able to check whether the equipment is in or not. If the production equipment is running normally every day, it will be supplemented with relevant business orders, invoices, financial, tax and other data elements as calculating materials, and use effective data mining, machine learning intelligent algorithms, and corresponding arithmetic facilities to create digital credit and form a digital credit loan business model for industrial production.
This demonstration application is provided by Long Guilu team of Beijing Institute of Quantum Information Science with quantum direct communication technology and related equipment, by Huaxia Bank with application scenarios, and coordinated by Long Yingzhi Da (Beijing) Technology Co. The results of this application were published in the June 2022 issue of The Banker magazine under the title "Quantum Direct Communication in Banking".
